What is City Care?

This is a special department of our Church set up to assist those in special need including:

Crisis care and crisis counseling.

Assisting New Arrivals to settle into our community.

Practical assistance in basic human needs.

Helping New Arrivals

City Care is actively involved in assisting new arrivals to Australia to settle in their new home. Assistance varies from meeting people at their arrival by plane, helping them to get settled in their accommodation, understanding Adelaide, familiarization with the services available in Australia, meeting new friends, etc. This service has helped many scores of people get settled and find employment and housing over the last three years. City Care conducts several New Arrivals Dinners each year. This is a format where valuable information is provided to assist New Arrivals in a variety of ways including housing, employment, immigration issues, etc.

Family Fun Nights.

These are regular activities where we start with a self serve meal and then enjoy a couple of hours of social interaction involving computer games, table tennis, craft, bouncy castle, etc. It is a great way to build relationships in a casual setting.
