The Nations
Do you do anything overseas?
We sure do!
World Missions have been an integral part of the vision of Adelaide Christian Centre since the early 1960’s. As a church many missionaries and workers have been deployed to Papua New Guinea and other parts of the world.
This vision continues today in prayer, financial and practical support for pioneer and training programs in several countries.
Our primary areas of focus and support are:
Barry and Rosalie Silverback.
Barry is the International Director of the CRC Missions work. Barry travels widely and is involved in pioneering new fields, overseeing existing fields and providing a ‘fathering role’ to many of our CRC National Leaders. We assist Barry and Rosalie Silverback with their financial support.
Training in Papua New Guinea.
For many years Sturt Street has financially assisted the CRC Training Program in PNG. We are delighted to assist in a small way to help this extremely fruitful ministry of reproducing leaders for the harvest.
India
In cooperation with Living Faith Fellowship, St Agnes SA, and Barry Silverback we convene several Leadership Training Schools in India each year. Each of these schools is up to one week in duration with about 60 to 80 leaders present.
The objective is to work with the National Church to help train leaders who are in pioneer, outreach and church planting ministries. We help finance these schools and our senior pastor Neil Milne teaches in them each year.
Other
In addition to the above we do help other ministries from time to time. An example of this is the very generous response from Sturt Street to the Tsunami appeal in early 2005 where about $25,000 was received and forwarded.
CRC Missions Office
A further contribution to missions is made by the provision Sturt Street makes of office facilities for our CRC International Missions Office.
Several offices and associated infrastructure is donated to the CRC for this purpose.
